Growing up in Hampshire, Jack Harding started painting at a young age and trained with London Art College later in life.  Initially starting out oil painting with a traditional, figurative technique, Jack eventually evolved a more expressive, unusual style, and he expanded the media to include collage, inks, acrylics and watercolours. His current mixed method provides an engaging combination of immediate aesthetic appeal with the satisfaction of discovering unusual textures or eccentric underlying collage on closer inspection. This approach achieved recognition in 2017, 2019 and 2021 when Jack received awards for Best Mixed Media Artist from the Winchester Art Society, and was voted the public's overall favourite artwork at exhibition.

After he learned to fly helicopters, it was only a matter of time before Jack combined his two passions for art and for aircraft and he began taking commissions for customised oil paintings. His many years in aviation mean he is able to bring a distinct technical knowledge and understanding of the subjects he paints. In 2016 Jack was awarded the Arthur Gibson Trophy by the Guild of Aviation Artists for Best New Artist, and exhibited at the Mall Galleries in Trafalgar Square, London.
